Due to several of our wonderful Lights Up committee stepping down from their positions this year, plus we understood that another community event had been booked in for the same day we hold Lights Up (we have since been told that this event isn’t happening), we have taken the difficult decision not to put on the event this year. We are sorry for any disappointment this may bring, we did try and find a way to bring you the event – including approaching other local organisations, but it was not to be, and we will miss putting the event on this year as much as you will attending it!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our regular sponsors, stall holders and volunteers for all their help to date, and hope you’ll all join us in kicking off Christmas in Paddock Wood again next year. Anyone already booked in as a stall holder will be contacted in due course.

In order to continue putting on Lights Up, we are looking for new committee members to join the team and help spread the festive cheer. If you are passionate about your community, love all things Christmas, and can spare a few hours a month* between April and November – all whilst rocking a Santa hat, then we’d love to hear from you!

In addition, due to the events growth over the years, we are now also looking for somewhere to store all of our festive finery. If anyone has, or knows of someone that has space, and could donate storage facilities to help keep our equipment safe, we would be very grateful. Plus, we know the big man and can guarantee your name going on the Nice List 😉
